If & But hails from Bristol in England, a town that has its roots firmly planted in the UK’s music scene. Somewhat different from your average artist nowadays, this DJ/Producer isn’t really that bothered about the mass hysteria that is created by todays social media for that concerning image and style, the MUSIC is what counts and that is where all the attention should be focused. With a wealth of influences that range from Massive Attack to Roger Sanchez, from Frankie Knuckles to Daft Punk swiftly moving through Ten City, MAW, Armand Van Helden, Basement Jaxx, Moloko, Robert Owens and Kerri Chandler, I think you have guessed that we are talking about House Music in all its various shades. At a very early age If & But realized that this particular style of music unleashed a positive vibe and energy onto all those who listened, a style that could crossover from pure class with refined sounds and voices to something a lot rawer with instrumentation and layout that was aimed at attacking the dancefloor.
